Doppler Effect

Doppler Effect is the change in frequency of a wave for an observer going relative to the source of the wave. It is commonly perceived when a vehicle ringing out a siren or horn advances, passes, and recedes from an observer. The obtained frequency is higher (compared to the emitted frequency) throughout the approach, it is equal at the instant of passing by, and it is lower throughout the recession.
