The “dream” is an aim in life, not just aspirations skilled throughout sleep. The illusion is significant to the dreamer's life. But what illusion is it exactly? The verse does not select the illusion but departs it up to the reader. Nevertheless, the speaker's place is clear that any significant illusion or aim that should be delayed can have grave contradictory affects.
