Drug addiction is a serious social problem. Drug addiction is a pathological craving for drugs and is a complex phenomenon that includes social, economic, demographic, medical, psychological and criminal aspects. Drugs affects all aspects of the inner world as well as all spheres of human activity which includes relationships with others, ways of existence, defeat and degradation of personality that prevents spiritual, emotional and intellectual development. Essentially, drugs are poisons. The effect depends on the amount taken. A small amount is a stimulant (increases activity. A greater amount acts as a sedative (inhibits the activity. An even larger amount acts as a poison and can kill the person.

Cheap Alcohol Drives Social Problems

Several international scientific studies emphasize that cheap alcohol is one of the factors that encourage binge drinking among young people and increase the social and health problems caused by a high consumption of alcohol. In addition, regular promotions of cheap alcohol offered by supermarkets and shops exacerbate the problem. The wine prices fell sharply in UK in recent years due to a glut of grapes, which has prompted growers to bring to market their excess inventory.

Alcoholism is a serious illness and addiction to a drug, which one approaches, is everywhere and relatively cheap. Alcohol abuse and availability of cheap alcohol is one of the biggest social problems and is one of the main causes of other diseases, which mainly deals hepatitis, liver cirrhosis, psychosis, depression, various cancers, heart failure and high blood pressure.

Availability of cheap alcohol is often increasing its demand in youth, which is creating more social problems for society. One in six dismissals in UK results due to the increased alcohol consumption. Although ratio of accidents have been raised due to availability of cheap alcohol. This ratio was quite low in past years but due to the cheap prices of alcohol, this ratio has been increased to 25%.
