ECOLOGICAL IMPACT ON ENVIRONMENT

Ecological Impact Environment

Environmental Impact

Ecological impact are changes or modifications that affect the environment caused by certain works, actions, or human services, or occasional natural phenomena, with effects on environmental quality of life and the exploitation of natural resources. For environmental impact means the effect of a particular human action on the environment in its various aspects. The concept can be extended, with little use for the purposes of a natural phenomenon.

Human actions, motivated by the pursuit of various goals, cause side effects on the natural or social. While the intended effects are usually positive, at least for those who promote action, side effects can be positive and, more often negative. The environmental impact assessment (EIA) is the analysis of the predictable consequences of the action, and the environmental impact statement (EIS) is the previous communication. Environmental laws require that under certain assumptions, the environmental consequences predicted by the assessment.

The impact does not imply adversity, because they can be both negative and positive, the importance of impact will depend on its intensity, duration, permanence, magnitude, and the actions and effects of the environment in which impacts and ecosystems in which they interact.

The negative impact is a disorder that affects the existence, transformation and development of ecosystem and species living in it, so it is important to identify to incorporate appropriate mitigation measures.

The positive impact is that action, which improves some condition or natural element to facilitate the natural process spontaneously.

Identification of Personal Impacts on Environment

The identification of impacts and their likely effects on the environment can be estimated by applying the methodologies developed for that purpose, which are designed to predict potential impacts that could generate a function of time, nature and magnitude of the project in question as well as the works and actions for implementation.

Climate change is an important ecological concern today. Rising global temperatures are believed to be to the result of increases of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere that began with the Industrial Revolution. Scientifically based studies of changes in the chemistry of the atmosphere and the biosphere have raised concerns about the apparent trends. The trends predict dire consequences if carbon dioxide continues to increase in the atmosphere because it is a greenhouse gas that contributes to global warming.

Environmental Impact Studies

Process analysis is multidisciplinary, based on field and laboratory studies, aiming to identify, predict, interpret, evaluate, prevent and report the effects of a work or project might have on the environment, seeking to minimize environmental impacts predictable negative (Casper, 2009).
