Introduction

The RAD is an international training organization for dance education and with specialized in techniques of teaching of ballet program. The objective of the organization is to introduce new ways of dancing teaching methods. The Royal academy of dance is the leading dance organization that occurs in 79 countries with having more than 13000 members. The current status of teacher in the organization is over 1000 which worker full time and part time jobs whose objectives to teach students ballet syllabus over 250,000.

History of Royal Academy of Dance

Royal Academy of Dance was comes to exist in year 1920 which was established in professional dance group. At that particular time the King known as George V granted that particular academy and character of royal and since then the academy has continued relationship with the royal family that celebrating Queen Elizabeth II Golden Jubilee in year 2002. After one year of Academy formation the association had established the headquarter in the Wellington street London WC2 where the process of elementary examinations of dancing started. In year 1923 the association started the first teacher's examination system in which 523 candidates takes their participations. Ten years later in 1931 first female Ballet Competition was held in London (Parker, 1995, p:3). In 1953 Queen Elizabeth II become the Patron for the Royal Academy due to the death of Queen Mary. In 1973 the academy moves their headquarters towards the Battersea Square and where Dancing Education Syllabus introduced latterly. The child summer school for dancing introduced in 1982 first degree program for Teaching of Ballet and Arts starts in 1992 (Parker, 1995, p: 5). In year 2002 the institute was granted Training for initial teacher and accredited provider status, so the government become recognizes teachers. This is the first time in the month of April 2009 the Royal Academy of Dance has launched first master program to be known master of dance teaching.

The program ballet is a full time modular program which has provide an opportunity to the students gain certain degree and become a professional dance teacher (www.rad.org.uk). The academy set the criteria for a program as three years. First year has students spent to most receiving lectures in class and attend workshops, in second and third year, the amount of study has been relates to offsite teaching placements, such as choreographic practice, dissertations, educational studies and professional career management.
