Essay prompt 1 - General Prompt

I have always wondered about what makes a bright, eccentric, a wealthy person. I now understand that many people are unhappy because they can not learn and show their true "self". They just blindly follow the stereotypes prevalent in society, and do not even trying to figure out whether it is always good for them. I have always loved to closely observe different people. I do not want to be like them. I do not want to waste my life watching TV playing computer games all day. I would rather part take in sports and read engrossing books. Previously, my behavior was impulsive and immature. My experience in the Army taught me to be objective in the assessment of the world and my objectives. I learned how to analyze my surroundings and develop understandable explanations.

I am drawn to Mechanical engineering because it is a branch of engineering that deals with physical principles, thermodynamics, mechanics, materials science, fluid mechanics and structural analysis for design. I also love the fact that it includes analysis of various elements used today, such as machinery for various purposes (thermal, hydraulic, transport, manufacturing), as well as ventilation systems, vehicles driven land, air and sea, among other applications.

Education in the United States meets the modern requirements, both in theoretical development and empirical research in the field. Here, perhaps, the best technical equipment training programs and opportunities for beginning researchers are not particularly limited, and in themselves stimulate interest in their chosen specialty. In the ranking of higher education out of the hundred best universities in the world, American universities occupy about 50-65 positions. American universities are different from each other not only programs but also the cost of training.

I want to be able to carry out the analysis, design, development and manufacture of machines, engines, machinery and mechanical systems. In order to do so, I must be able to understand a widespread spectrum of physical phenomena, develop creative skills in technological design and analytical skills and problem solving in order to apply the knowledge acquired. I want to develop an understanding of technical, transferable skills.

At first, I did not have any interesting in studying. I entered a private boarding high school. I failed SAT tried one more, but I failed again because I did not study. So, I chose to give up and entered the army. ...
