Proposal II: Sample & Measure

Sampling Description and Procedure

The methodology used in this research would be primary data collection with secondary data collection as well. While doing research it is important to choose the methodology according to the area in which the research is being conducted. The area of our research is very sensitive because the idea is new. The plant which the company wants to introduce is new for them. They have to see all the consequences. Through secondary sources the previous experiences of companies which are in written form already can be judged and looked for the consultation. Secondary sources would be having complete analyses already which have been done, in related books or journals. The past experiences of certain organizations would help the respective company to take and point out those steps which proved to be the best one and to avoid those steps which gave the negative results. Secondary sources would be having the past overall reports or many organizations, their initial budget, the steps of successful companies can be checked, analyzed and followed if they match (Campbell, 2002).

First of all, the sample should be defined that is the number of people who are going to give the interview for primary data collection and then one has to prepare the questions in advance to avoid any problem at the moment of research. One should jot down the name of places which one has to cater and then set the appointments with the people one has to meet for collection of data. Interviewing is not an easy task. To take out from the person which is your requirement is very difficult. For our research, we have to meet the members of such organizations which already has done with the business development which we are going to do, so that we can have experience based answers (Carolyn, 2008).

Qualitative research explores a given phenomenon in order to provide further understanding and enhanced knowledge. Qualitative research questions are generally broad and the numbers of subjects in the study can be small. In qualitative methods, the researcher depends on the observations or experiences of the participants. Numeric data and analysis through statistics formed the basis for quantitative research. Questions were more apt to be specific and involve large numbers of participants. Statistics allowed the researcher to recognize trends and ultimately find ways to explain the relationships of the subjects to the element studied, or vice versa.

The questions which the researcher would be asking should be precise and to the point. The answers which are obtained through interview should be written as they are said to avoid any error. The specification should be done with every interview that is, one has to write the age, gender, marital status, name of the company etc, through these specifications, data analysis would be easier. The data can be analyzed through these specifications as well. The line-up or the arrangement of the questions ...
