Introduction

Prada continues to be the "designer's designer" and one of the most desirable labels in the world today, and it all started with a suitcase. Prada started out as a reputable, high quality Italian luggage manufacturer in Milan in 1913. However, in 1979 Muiccia Prada, granddaughter of the founder, inherited the business.
