Incentives can be categorized as monetary and non monetary rewards. Incentives are the additional benefits/rewards giving to the employees of the organization for their outstanding performances. This creates a motivational factor among the employees resulted in job satisfaction. Rewards can be given in monetary as well as in non monetary terms. Monetary incentives like giving incentives to the employees in terms of rupees. Non monetary rewards are those incentives that belong to the non financial incentives; this reward satisfies the ego and self actualization needs of the employees and motivates the person to work hard. Following are the types of non monetary needs; first one is the job security if the employee does have security of his/her job this gives motivation to the employee and he/she gives maximum efforts for achieving the organization's objectives. The second non monetary reward is giving recognition or praise for the employees this type satisfies the ego needs of the employees. (Yousept, 2005)

The another type is taking suggestions from the employees before making any decision the employees feel motivated start participating in the organization's decision making. Another non monetary benefit is job enrichment.
