Abstract

This research is conducted on the pre-screening process done by human resource department of any organization. The situational analysis is discussed which tells that the how applicants apply in the field. They are screened through different tests and interviews and finally they are selected as employees.

The screening is selection process is very important for any organization to have the best employees. Once past the first filter selection processes, it comes to the job interview. The aging population is causing a shortage of manpower and also contributes to lower productivity. Motivation and personality traits for screening are not investigated.

Human Resources department is responsible to identify, recruit, train, hire and retain employees of the organization. Human Resource is to interlink the organizational strategies with the HR policies, in a way making the strategy fulfill through the people of the organization. Planning involves professional development, human and financial staff, through the promotion based on appropriate training through the study of the skills and potential of each person, allowing their classification in order to the promotion.

A hypothesis is the establishment of a connection between the facts that the researcher will clarify to the extent that it can generate logical explanations of why this link occurs. Four hypotheses or problem statements are created which discuss screening of employees is discriminatory within organization with people who are disabled, Unqualified candidates do not pass the screening process, improper process becomes a threat for organizational environment and screening is the most important part of hiring process.

The research has several limitations that are related with the research design. The size of the sample is another limitation of the research. The research has focused only on one country. Another limitation is that only few variables considered on the research, other variable could be identified and tested to provide more meaningful results to the study.

Research methodology is used to obtain the answer for research objectives. On the basis of research objectives some hypotheses will be discussed. The research methodology consists of qualitative data.

Situation Analysis

The research is related to the potential applicants screened and selected by the HR department of the organization. The screening is selection process is very important for any organization to have the best employees. Through screening process, employees are really nervous and lack confidence. They doubt their knowledge, skills, personal appearance and became nervous.

First image that companies have of the various candidates is through their curriculum, in which not only measured data that includes, but one's presentation. This has to be as formal as possible, including all personal data (name, contact numbers, postal and e-mail), academics and professionals who can contribute. Many Web sites and almost all text-editing programs include resume templates that we use and that meet the needs of presentation of such documents.
