Introduction

Man has had many far-reaching consequences on the natural environment over the years. Global heating, contamination and the impairment to the ozone layer are a couple of of the major things that can be perceived about in the news. Man has impaired the earth step-by-step over the years and this impairment will not be turned around, we are now endeavouring to stop any more impairment being initiated to the environment. For demonstration, hedgerows have been destroyed but now people have realised what effects this is having on the natural environment the government are paying ranchers to replant them rather than of fencing. Not all of man's consequences on the natural natural environment are harmful some are beneficial.

Conservation work is going on across the homeland and this is helping to maintain the wildlife and countryside that we have left. The expanding human community has put a gigantic demand on the food output of the country. The assets are limited but the community is increasing quite rapidly so the troubles are growing. The demand for food means that plantings need to be flawless so the use of fertilisers and herbicides is increasing too.

Problems affecting

One of the troubles in the rural areas affecting the environment is the disposal of effluent and other pollutants. The main kind of waste that we have to dispose of is organic effluent especially from farms and waste works. This is disposed of in some ways, the main one being propelling it into the ocean and streams round the country. In more recent years waste recycling plants have been developed to reuse the water in the waste. Water remedy works are used to treat the waste before it is propelled into the stream or sea.

The disposal of the waste is accomplished in some ways. Direct exclusion into a stream or lagoon is the most routinely utilised means of disposal. In parts of the world that are faced with worsening shortages of water for both household and industrial use, authorities are reusing appropriately treated wastewater for, irrigation of non-edible crops, industrial processing, recreation, and other uses. At this stage the water should be cleansed of all contaminants, but, for added reliability, second-stage carbon absorption and reverse osmosis are utilised, and chlorine dioxide is supplemented to obtain the largest likely water standard.
