The Company was established by Robert McBride in Manchester in 1927 to create chemical process products. It was first listed on the London Stock Exchange in 1973. The company has developed through organic growth and gaining to achieve sales of over £800m. The company has over 20 manufacturing operations in 10 countries; UK, Belgium, France, Italy, Luxembourg, Spain, Czech Republic, Poland in Europe, and China, Malaysia and Vietnam in Asia.
