Introduction

Carnival and carnivalesque is a customary festival in numerous countries. It is previously renowned in medieval Europe as the festival of the Lent. Carnival was first originated in Ancient Greek and Egypt, and subsequent became the Roman devout festival. In the Biblical references it is about a devil to check the Jesus, tricked in the wilds, 40 days did not give Jesus to consume, Jesus, though famished, but did not accept the lure of the devil. Later, to commemorate the 40 days Jesus fasted in the wilds, the trustworthy put the annual time span of 40 days before Easter, as their day of fasting and repentance (Ref: Delia Smith,1983).
