There are different definitions of leadership, but most are based on a traditional approach, where the direction of power is down (the "top down"). Faced with all the changes we are living since the early 90s and the speed at which they occur, this approach has no place. Today, a new approach to leadership is growing. Individuals as that organization are increasingly called to work together to achieve goals in traditional rather than their separate ways, as might be the case in the past. From the business perspective, I would admire the leadership capabilities of Herb Kelleher.
