Current Scenario

There are strong evidences that there are influential impacts of ecological motives on the consumer attitudes towards consumption of organic food. In other words, people who are more concerned towards the environmental perspective, they have more positive attitude towards organic food. The ethical consumerism is the new direction in the consumer behavior which has created a new market segment for the marketers (Gayle, 2010).

Ethical consumer and their growth

Ethical consumerism is the act of buying goods and services that intensely seek to reduce the damage to the environment or the society. Whereas, ethical consumer is the one who is involved in the ethical consumerism.

There are three historical stages of rise in the ethical consumerism: 

1980s - Growth of boycott activity

1990s - Institutional response (growth of ethical labels etc.)

2000s - Growth of ethical markets and mainstreaming

 Responsible consumption is that consumer behavior which is identified to be ethical, i.e. the same consumer who knows the whole product value chain, from raw material origin, working conditions of those involved in the process, distribution outlets, among other things, and on that basis the decision to purchase each day, thinking about reducing their ecological footprint, water and / or carbon (Carsden, 2001).

Recycling ways

The cold process for making homemade soap is an excellent way to tap the oil that is discarded after frying at the same time protecting the environment and preventing the pollution that these fats results inn.  Consumers collaborate with the ecology and contribute by doing this simple homemade recipe for ecological soap. The main idea is to assist and push art as well as also to increase awareness regarding the origins of materials, especially recycling.
