Ethical Decision Making

Foreword

Everything that we perform or not is a choice, that can influence the lives of other and ours. Ethical decision making relies on righteous judgments, not on selfishness or superior outcomes. These judgments are based on collective principles that are according to traditions, cultural values, politics, religion, ethnicity and time. Ethical decision making in higher education is significantly important as it leads to diversity in terms of respect, responsibility, citizenship, fairness and trustworthiness. More effective ethics education and leadership development programs can be made possible if the individuals as well as, higher education organizational members are engaged in the process of ethical decision making. This will lead to a process of giving equal opportunities to all the people rather than giving importance to a certain class, group or culture.
