Ethical Issues in HRM Strategies

Introduction

Human Resource Management is the most important and integral part of every organization. The way a HR department runs, deeply affects the whole organization. A hefty part of an organization's growth depends on the Human Resource department as they are responsible for recruiting the people who are suitable for the job. An organization needs talented and skilled people to drive their company towards success, and for that, the organization needs a capable and talented HR team. For developing effective HRM strategies, the organizations usually hire consultants. The primary role of a HRM consultant “is to assist the client to identify needs, develop an action plan and facilitate change to enhance the success of the organization.” However some ethical issues arise for the consultant when he is faced with the same issues that overlap the issues that he/she had already resolved in some other organization. Wrong people end up in wrong departments.

Training and Development of Employees

Training and development of the employees is a significant factor of every organization. However not every organization is able to deal with this in an appropriate way. Training and Development helps in developing leadership skills, motivation, loyalty, better attitudes, and other aspects that successful workers and managers typically (Beardwell & Claydon, 2010). Training is the process of enhancing the skills, capabilities and knowledge of employees for doing a particular job. Training process is used to mould the thinking of employees and leads to quality performance of employees. These training and coaching will help the employees to develop themselves and will help them in providing quality products to customers.

Team Building

Team building is also an important part of the organization's success. However, this is also an area in which most of the organization faces issues. Many of them do not even consider the team building process or activities are important for the success of the organization. Through team building, the employees will know what they have to do ...
