Introduction

Religion has an immense importance in our lives it guides us to the right path that will lead us to success in the worldly life and the life hereafter. Having faith in Jesus will protect us from all evils and grant the blessings of God. Religion is not about believing in God and admitting to the existence of Him but to have complete faith in Him and spiritually remain connected to Him by worshipping Him with complete and seeking guidance and His blessings to remain successful in life. Bible is the source from which an individual can get knowledge about how to live his life effectively based on the religious rules and principles and practice religion in the best possible manner. Churches today are engaged in targeting more people to achieve growth and they are not anymore focused on spreading the teachings of Christianity. Growth of church does not merely depend on the number of people that attend church counting heads and bodies of these people does not show if the church has been able to achieve growth and success, it is dependent on whether or not these people come to the church to understand the religion and with the intention to get knowledge about Christianity and to understand what Bible has stated about living the lives in the right manner. Today, church growth has become a business targeting more and more people to attend without influencing on the purpose of the existence of church and emphasizing on the teachings of Christianity. People need to have complete faith in Jesus and they should seek guidance from God in the times of sorrows and should be grateful to him when they are successful and happy, they need to remember Him in all times and seek assistance from Him to be able to manage their lives righteously.

Evangelism is about spreading the religion and conveying the message of God to the believers to ensure that they are confined to the rules of Christianity in their lives. Church growth should merely influence on the number of people but on their spiritual lives. It is significant for the church leaders to understand the importance of evangelism for growth of the church as they are linked together. Evangelism is defined as to communicate the good news that has been given by the Jesus Christ; which is often also referred to as discipleship. Growth of the church is dependent on building the church that is based on evangelism and its foundation is laid upon spirituality and having faith in God. The purpose of church is to provide the worshippers with a place where they can get spiritually get connected to God and pray with complete concentration without being distracted. However, today the focus of church leaders has been deviated from the original purpose of giving prayers the foremost priority and importance.
