Appraisal theory, or the event-appraisal-emotion sequence, implies the emotional circumstances that us individuals go through with respect to the routine performance appraisal channel or cycle of consideration those individuals go through while working at an organization. When it comes to understanding the discipline of training and development, expertise become a key concern, since hiring the right candidate for the right job is priority. In addition to this, the candidate also needs to be suitable not only for the job, but at the same time should make enough expertise and show a team-building attitude in order for the candidate to excel in the organization and aim towards his career progression (Berger, 2008).

Finally, the objective of training and development is to provide staff with the skills and knowledge necessary to meet the targets of the organisation. This, however, is not simply related to the training to work practice, including training of any sort is essential because it creates a culture of learning. Thus, developing expertise in this context is ultimately going to be a key matter of concern in case the personnel hired do not come up to the level of the work being done. For the most part, “entrepreneurial strategy” is discussed in the literature within the context of large, established organizations (Björkman, 2008). As such, it is recognized as a key business strategy, with the ability to think and act legibly deemed the basis of competitive advantage for many corporations. On the other hand, the term “strategic entrepreneurship” refers to the creation of innovation (whether in the firm's strategy, product offerings, served markets, internal organization (i.e. structure, processes and capabilities), or business model).
