Evolutionary psychologists

Evolutionary psychologists are interested in how particular abilities such as theory of mindarose and in particular how they contribute to an individual's fitness. Explain how theory of mind may have evolved in humans and what its adaptive function might be (Aidman, 2002, 168).

There are different fields involve in the study of psychology. These fields include Physiological, Developmental, Differential, Educational, Abnormal, Clinical, and Industrial, Social, Vocational, Legal, Human Relation, Mental Hygiene and Engineering psychology.

Theory of Mind

Theory of mind is distinctly different of mind, which implies that the ability to characterize mental states (beliefs, states of mind, knowledge, intentions, etc.) The presumption that others have a mind is termed a theory of mind because each human can only intuit the existence of his or her own mind through introspection, and no one has direct access to the mind of another. The goal of the therapy is to reduce the attempts of suicide or any self-harm provided by the child. The medical personnel work together with the patient to establish detailed understanding of behaviors, and personality disorders of a patient. The patient is assisted to learn new skills to replace the self-harm behavior and is helped to take steps towards a quality life.

The instability in the mood of adolescents can primarily be attributed as the reactivity or lack of regulation of their emotions. This therapy helps the teen to identify such behavioral changes on a frequent basis, also the impact of such behaviors on a child and then the ability to cope using the distress tolerance skills or emotion regulation skill. The teens are often seen to get involved in risky behaviors such as sexual activity, substance use, and self-harming behaviors as a means of coping or fitting in the situation. Since, adolescents lack the required tools of self-validating, which creates self-confusion, they continuously search for who they are, which results in taking them to paths that are not worth to go for (Beyerstein, 2001,, 70).

Perception is a whole understanding produced in the minds towards objective things, when they happen directly to the senses. According to the selectivity of perception, there are two conditions to select a perceptual object from the background: First, the difference between the object and background. The greater the difference is, the easier to distinguish objects from the background. Second, the choice of attention makes a thing become an object of perception. When the attention points to a thing, the thing becomes an object of perception, while other things will become the background of perception (Beyerstein, 2001,, 70).

Practically, the teacher should arrange relations between content information and background in the design of multimedia courseware. Generally, teachers use the lighter background color. Thinking of the progressive and back nature of color, they use blue, black and warm colors in order to narrow the distance between the screen and the students, so that more attention will be paid to relevant information.
