Problem Statement

This paper will gaze at the significance of eye contact and analyze its function in some distinct positions, and how the technological improvement in use today, where video conferencing or interactions between man and appliance are needed, furthermore need to take eye communicate into concern in their design. The deductions drawn in all of these investigations show that eye communicate is significant in making a attachment between the speaker and the assembly, and the more eye communicate given, the better the answer obtained.

Introduction

Non verbal connection is often called body language because it involves the way we use our bodies and signs not our voiced phrase to communicate. Non-verbal communication is 55% more powerful than the spoken word, it is believed by many that 60-80% of our message is communicated through body language and only 7-10% is communicated through the spoken words. It is thus very significant to understand the types of non-verbal connection and their consequences in alignment to communicate effectively inside the care setting. Many influential psychologists and investigators have written about non-verbal communication and have come up with their own theories on non-verbal connection.

Argyle (1983) "suggests non-verbal behaviours regulate meetings by getting feedback that is profiting information from how we respond" . Argyle composed afresh about non-verbal connection and in 1988, he states "non-verbal style in which a note is broadcast has more effect than the verbal note itself. Our non-verbal demeanour is the more dependable direct to our sentiments"

Dr Gabriel Raam states that "body action can show attitudes and feelingsK. Our body action encompasses the heads, eyes, shoulders, lips, eyebrows, neck, legs, arms, appendages, orientation, hands, and signs K" . Dr Raam propose that by giving vigilance to our body dialect we can use our bodies to introduce clarity and meaning to our verbal communication. Dr Raam calls non-verbal communication the kinesic code.

E.T. Hall a researcher was the first to use the term proxemics, Hall enquired man's use of individual space and suggests that man use's space as a means to broadcast his sentiments with others. He accepts as true that mans use of space can either impede or promote communication and that man values distinct zones of space inside distinct kinds of communication.
