Introduction

Career in FBI is not easy as it requires certain requirements before starting work with FBI. One must have a degree in Criminology for FBI. It is also necessary that one must have special skills and presence of mind as it is highly recommended for this field.

Career Requirements

The FBI looks for job applicants who have skills in interrogation, report writing, monitoring and giving testimony. The selection process also includes cognitive tests, an interview, background check, the lie detector test and drug test. Those who are interested in training with the FBI or the CIA can also opt to get a bachelor's degree in criminal justice. This grade is not just study the law as it stands, but also evaluates the law. To be a FBI agent must have a 4-year higher education to be a citizen of the United States, will be available for use in any place at any time, be under the age of 23 to 36 years old and be in excellent physical shape. It is also a general requirement that they have 3 years of professional experience. The FBI also looks for individuals with character traits such as honesty and sound discretion (Sullivan, p. 34).

Physical Requirements

An example of a requirement would be the PRT, it is a test in which the applicant has to race for 1.5-mile which the applicant has to finish in less time (Charles, p. 1939). This is a tough test for the individuals as it requires stamina. Career in FBI is all about being patient and calm in order to learn skills which are necessary for FBI agents.

FBI officer requirements are as follows:

He must be at least 23 of age but less than 37

He must be available when needed

Musty have a clear vision

The sight of passing and vision tests includes a color vision test.

The FBI officer must also possess a valid driver's license.

Be in excellent physical condition

Possess a national or 4 year degree - regionally recognized in a foreign language, law, accounting, or other field plus three years of full-time employment.

FBI officers are trained specifically on the powers they have in relation to a suspect. They learn how to administer criminal justice law in its capacity to enforce the law.
