Federal law enforcement agency responsible for monitoring of suspicious activity and identification of threats at airports and on commercial flights is known as Federal Air Marshal Service (FAMS) (Duncan Commends Air Marshal Funding Cut, 2012). The department works under direct supervision of Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and Transportation Security Administration (TSA) (Lord, 2009). Federal Air Marshal Services are designed to encourage civil aviation authority, while their primary duty is to identify, repeal or foil any threats to United States of America. FAMS carry out weapons and remain prepared for any unpredictable situation, without even threatening spectator. The nature of job of Federal Air Marshal (FAM) demand frequently travels; whereas Federal Air Marshal personnel are ranked among the armed personnel having high hand gun accuracy (Duncan Blasts "Useless" Air Marshal Service, 2009). Terrorist are now more reluctant to use any commercial or non commercial flight to be used as a tool to carry out terrorists attack, because of the introduction of such programs all over the world. Federal Air Marshal Personnel are trained professional who have the instinct to sense any threat, and with their skills they have the capabilities to prevent any known or unknown danger (Lord, 2009).

Civil aviation personnel are supported with this program who like many other people have developed a sense of vulnerability on airports and commercial flights. The presence of Federal Air Marshal Personnel on board also helps them to feel safe and secure, which can also be cited as the success of the program (Atkins, 2011).
