We are inundated with television shows about crimes that form and distort our perception of reality, forensic science solves almost magical and mysterious of any offense. We can see an analysis of DNA that normally takes days to prepare, you end up in a few minutes, all for the sake of the rhythm of history, which must be filed within 60 minutes (Saferstein, 2011). This creates a negative message in the judgments that people form and assume that in real life has the same thing happened. Since the TV show CSI introduced us so deceptive and quick manner in which their cases are resolved, the number of programs that distort research methods has increased. Although the parties 'real' these series also have unfortunate consequences: in Trumbull, Ohio, a fan of CSI , killed his wife and daughter, using techniques learned in the program to get rid of the evidence and destroy their own DNA using bleach . It also sounded for a guy who committed suicide using a balloon to get rid of the weapon that shot, same as you saw in that series.

Finally, only five out of 75 attackers are arrested and prosecuted. What is the reason?
