Four Significant Contributions in Homeopathy

Introduction

Homeopathic is the most used therapy for treatment of certain disease after medical sciences also known as allopathy. This alternative way of treatment has been introduced by Samuel Hahnemann a German physician in 1796 as the medical procedures were creating more harm than benefit. This new medical practice has nourished in the late 18th century when the common medical procedures were brutal and have less effectiveness. In that era this alternative therapy grows vigorously and has gained the loyalty of large number of population. Although, when the medical science discovered modern methods the fame of homeopathy goes down and most of the school in Europe and US were closed or turned to modern medical practices. The demand of homeopathy for the treatment of diseases begins to decline with the advancement in medical sciences. One major cause of this decline is less focused on research in the related domain. However, by the end of 20th century and with the beginning of 21st century many researchers have explored several new aspects which enhanced the effectiveness of homeopathic medicines and have attracted people's interest again towards this form of treatment (Banerjee n.d.) This study in this connection will attempt to explore four significant contributions in homeopathy, and will critically appraise their findings in context of homeopathy. Rajan Sankaran, Jan Scholten, Jeremy Sherr and Guild of Homeopaths have made significant contribution in homeopathy, which will be critically discussed in this study.

Sankaran's work on Kingdoms

A person dedicated to homeopath, Dr. Rajan Sankaran, with years of practice has created a system for homeopathy to provide consistent results. A powerful classification of remedies have been developed by Dr Sankaran in his kingdom from which he has reached to a unique approach to Miasma by adding new miasmas to already existing ones. (Ullman, 2006) Miasma has been defined as a harmful exhalation from natural or artificial organic substances or elements which have poisonous elements like effluvia. Miasma might contain germs which aim to pollute the atmosphere. Dr. Sankaran explores numerous angles relating to remedies from Miasma germ. This also includes development of clinically useful ideas in the presence of criteria and rating (Sankaran, 2008).

There has been a revolution in casting homeopathy's wonders in the last two decades. Many homeopaths around the world are doing research to improve this exploration of the resources, the natural illnesses and the application of these remedies of curing and healing. However, Rajan Sankaran has been one of the leading masters of the development of homeopathic ideology who to a large extend succeeded in finding remedies for healing and curing. The remedies for miasma are considered as a landmark in the field of homeopathy. This finding of kingdom has established the image of homeopathic as more scientific and practical method and has been reviewed and tested widely in homeopathic more than ever.
