Introduction

Sigmund Freud was the first psychoanalyst. Many of his insights into the human mind, which seemed at the turn of the century as revolutionary, are now widely accepted by most schools of psychological thought. Although others before and during his time had begun to recognize the role of unconscious mental activity, Freud, the outstanding pioneer, was when they understood its value(Webster 2005). Through his extensive work with patients and by his theory building, he showed that factors which influence thought, and there are activities outside of consciousness that contradict unwittingly plays a part, if they determine normal and abnormal behavior. Although his ideas were taken antagonism and resistance, Freud believed deeply in the value of his discoveries and rarely simplified for the sake of popular acceptance or exaggerated. But he showed us the well, while the dark and impulsive forces in human nature sometimes seem overwhelming, psychological understanding by the larger realm of reason and responsibility, as a whole may be considerable differ troubled individuals and even to civilization.

Freud and his followers keep the oedipal phase with its specific issues and their specific development tasks for the cause of gender differentiation personality.
