Introduction

This is one of the most common types of sexually transferred disease normally caused by bacterium known as Neisseria gonorrhoeao, according to the medical experts this disease was first found in 3500 B.C.

The term gonorrhea is derived from Latin which means to “Flowing of Gonads”, from the time of its invention till now this disease is being referred from several interesting and slang names for example in United states of America for more than past 60 years gonorrhea is being called by several slang names like, clap, race horse. Whites and etc. This disease despite being dangerous for held is considered as the sign of manhood by several American men.

Being the transferable disease it is normally spread through sexual intercourse between one or two people thus sexual intercourse does not mean that it will only occur to those who have done sex; anyone who is involved in some sort of sexual activity can be affected by this disease.

In men this disease is normally transferred through urethra when during sexual intercourse penis gets in contact with vaginal mucus or some other types of fluid that are already infected. After getting to the body these bacteria combine with the cells of urethra using some special chemical, women are also affected by this disease through sexual intercourse with men who possessed this disease

It took almost fourteen days for these bacteria to show signs of infection in a person body, the main reason for this are that bacteria once inserted in human body takes time to grow and get the required power to cause the symptoms, the problem with this disease is that its symptoms are rare so it take while for a person to realize that he/she is being infected.

The symptoms through which men realized that they are being affected by this disease is slight pain during urination, this pain occurs due to strong growth of the bacteria that causes irritation in urethra. In men symptoms of this disease are more often than not found but in case of women they does not get to know that they are infected because there is no sign of infection present in their body at an early stage so these women does not consult the doctor at all and this is the most dangerous sign of this infection.

Gonorrhea now days has become a most common disease among the sexually desirable people which are of ages between 15 and 30, also this disease is becoming relatively common among elderly population and homosexual men. According to several studies the biggest reason due to which this disease is constantly increasing is lack of safe sex knowledge among sexual active people.
