Since the audience in focus consists of small children of up-to 5 years of age; therefore, it is necessary that to keep in mind that this plan should be focused on small children. Special consideration should be given to ensure that children learn from these activities, and do not harm themselves. This is a very crucial thing; because safety of children is the first priority for us.

LO 1: The children should become familiar with some of gymnastic practises.

LO 2: Explore different actions of gymnastics

LO3: Copy and create some movements with a beginning, middle, and end

LO4: Have knowledge regarding how to handle themselves in small gymnastic activities

LO5: Watch, copy & evaluate their peers in gymnastics

The children should become familiar with basics of gymnastics

The children should be able to perform a few basic activities of gymnastics

They must posses the ability to copy and develop some movements of gymnastics

They must develop the ability to manage themselves in small acts of gymnastics

They should be able to evaluate their peers in gymnastics

A majority of children must develop the ability to demonstrate basic coordination and control when they are travelling, and when they are still; they must have the ability to choose and connect similar actions.

They must remember and recall actions, which have been thought in an accurate manner on a consistent basis.

They would have the ability to detect and utilize space around them in a safe and secure manner, and must possess awareness about their surroundings.

They would develop the ability to recognize and copy some basic actions of gymnastics and would have the ability to utilize words like travelling, rolling, balancing, etc.

The first session phase is the “Connection with the previous session.” In this session, I would make sure that I connect the current session with the previous sessions to demonstrate purpose and progression for my session.

Every lesson will comprise of development of skills and capabilities that would encourage balance, travel, turn, swing, roll & climbing on the floor & on different apparatus. The teacher would make use of pictures of different things in this regard to help children. This would help in connecting with the previous activities in this regard.

We would ask children to discover a wide variety of asymmetric and symmetric shapes, actions, and balances through showing them pictures of different things, E.g. sliding, rolling, etc.

Safety of children is the first priority for us; therefore, we would make sure that all measures of safety are implemented well in advance.

There would be a box of first aid available at the session premises at all times.

The instructor would make sure that children do not hurt themselves ...
