Introduction

The health care legislative bill selected to be analyzed for this paper is the United States national healthcare Act. The act is also known as the expanded and improved Medicare for All Act. This act has been introduced by the representative John Conyers in the United State House of the Representatives. The main aim of this healthcare bill is to implement a universal single-payer healthcare system. As per this bill, the residents of the USA and the US territories should be facilitated with the free health care. The free healthcare services will be including the mental health services, primary care and prevention, vision care, prescription drugs, dental services, long term care and the emergency care. The bill has the aim to develop a health care system which will be publicly financed and privately delivered (Adler, 2002). The bill will be helpful in bringing the improvements in the already existing Medicare program.

Economic Impact of the Bill

There can be very positive economic impacts of the United States national healthcare Act on the healthcare delivery of the local and international level. The main aim of this bill is to provide the access to each and every resident of USA and the USA territories to the quality health care. This bill mainly focuses on the single payer system. This means that the insurance on healthcare will be paid by mainly the employers and the businessman. This is a cost saving bill, and this can contribute in the rising of the economy. As per this bill, the families and the businessman will bear a low cost. For example, currently, the family of four people residing in USA pays almost $4,225 on the health care (Rosenbaum, 2004).
