How HITECH Legislation has Impacted my Organization

The Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health (HITECH) Legislation is a versatile part of the ARRA. In general, health care information technology incentives are contained by American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. Specifically, the incentives that correlate to enhance the adaption of Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems are also a part of ARRA. The HITECH legislation was introduced to strengthen the HIPAA Security Rule and avoid its violation in department of Health and Human Services.
