Homeostasis

Homeostasis is responding to changes in the situations of the external environment plus the internal environment. Homeostasis works to keep the organism's internal environment within tolerance limits; the range of situations where the body's procedures are able to function at a level that could permit life to carry on in that organism. The respiratory, cardiovascular, as well as muscular systems are all controlled by homeostasis.
