The gangs, i.e. groups of people, who usually rule over an area, are a part of the American society. These gangs can be found all over the country, be it any city. The purpose of this report is to analyze the development of gangs, how they have managed to grow so much in the different societies of America. In Houston, the rise of gang groups is a problem that is growing every day on the streets of Houston and is in schools where it recruits the largest number of children to swell the ranks of these joint criminal (Battin, Hill, 2001).

The word crime comes from the Latin verb. It means criminal intent to commit a foul, or violation of laws and rules pertaining to a particular society, culture or country. Crime as well as rise in gangs of crime is an everyday thing in Houston. The crimes and gangs are increasing in Houston since 2009.

Houston has a history of being the prime producer of drugs such as Marijuana and Methamphetamine which is then sold to United States. According to the report "Drug Trafficking Area High Intensity Houston," prepared by the National Intelligence Centre on Drugs, gang members in this city "are now younger and more violent and their recruitment is higher than ever.” This is confirmed by Lieutenant Raul Garibei with the Houston Police Department (HPD, in English), who stated that "the phenomenon of gangs in the city is increasing significantly and is a growing problem all day." He told Semanac News, gangs are detected, "because they are easily identified by their color and clothing, and each differs from the other by the distinctive colors and markings on the skin, like tattoos."
