John Blacking

John Blacking (1928 - 1990) was a British social anthropologist and ethnomusicologist. John Blacking got his education from Salisbury Cathedral School and then from King's College, Cambridge, as a student of the illustrious anthropologist. He wrote couple of books about social impact of music and it's reality factor. Most of the ideas can be found in his book titled “How Musical is Man?” which got published in 1973.
