There are several opportunities and risks associated with the Emirates Airlines in the present times and future as well. The opportunities that the Emirates Airline is having in the current conditions is the expansion of their services into various countries and also forecasting the demand in the future once the recession will end in the country.

Even though, in the mid-2009, the airline cancelled the purchase of Boeing 777, but it might increase the number of aircrafts when the overall outlook will improve in the future. One of the major features of Emirates Airline is that it has a strong reputation in the aviation industry and is not only the leading airline in the region but also throughout the world. The demand for the Emirates Airline Service is still quite high. Secondly, the Emirates Airline has a very strong vision for the future that indicates that they are going to prepare several strategies in the future to further reinforce the image of airline among the passengers.

On the other hand, there are some risks as well associated with Emirates Airlines. The biggest risk that the airline faces is the competitor's risk. The reason is the large number of competitors that are there in the industry in the region and on global level as well. The two biggest competitors of Emirates Airlines are Qatar Airways and Etihad Airways. These two airlines are running their operations very well and are bound to become the leading airlines of the region.

The second risk is the possibility of failure of some networks that Emirates Airlines is considering for their operations. The reason is probably the low demand for the airline service for this particular route. Since, there are several low cost carriers which have started their operations on the short route; Emirates Airline might suffer because of these developments. The cost charged by the Emirates Airline is not low and they have a reason to charge high prices from their customers because of the service and facilities provided to the employees. In the end, it can be said that these are the risks and opportunities that Emirates Airlines is facing at the present moment and future as well.
