Part 1 : The Employees' Education, Training and Development Policy Manual

1. Training

Rationale:

Training is one of the main parts of the company's HR policy. The purpose of this plan and its supporting procedures and policies is to offer a working environment in which all employees are capable of making the most of their commitment, performance and could adapt their behaviors according to the vision of the company.

Meaning

Training is the word used to comprise all actions which are founded by and for employees so as to uphold, inform and improve their personal and work-related skills, knowledge and potentials.

Range

The policy applies to all employees, probationary, permanent and contractual including interns.

Training program Development

Following are the basic types of training that will be available to all Employees:

Corporate Training Program

Departmental Training

General Computer Skills

Soft Skills (General and decision-making Skills)

Workers Training



Surveillance and Control

Supervisor must ensure the input of his/her team member(s) in the training program once confirmed.

Quality input in training programs such as sharing examples, active involvement in group exercises, securing highest quiz marks and input in other activities will contribute positively towards the Employee's appreciation. This quality input will be judged favorably in terms of behavior and the Employees who have the most favorable quality input during the year will be eligible for appreciation in good behavior category.

Participants should bring basic stationery such as pen and notepad to the training session themselves.

Participants must meet the set evaluation criteria in order to pass the course and be eligible for the letter of positive input.

Number of training courses attended as well as the score obtained in each course will be displayed on the main gate of the concerned Employee. Letter of positive input will only be awarded to the Employee after successful completion of all requirements of training and will be the part of Employee Record and the Employee File.

Input in training will have a long-term positive impact for the development of individual Employee's work-related performance and behavior as they will be learning new skills. Regular attendance and input in training programs will be considered as one of the positive variables that will help predict whether the Employee will be able to grip increased workload and coordination rank domains in the future. The Employee will also be eligible for growth on the basis of internal equity because of his/her overall performance; however, s/he will not be considered for an expected higher rank of responsibility before the time of growth if s/he continues to show a non-serious attitude or remains absent during training programs without prior information.

Individuals who miss any day of the training session will not be issued the letter of positive input. They will also be given an “F” for that specific course and will also be issued a No-Show Notice with a copy marked to their respective supervisor.
