Everyone considers the high cost of gas and the depletion of natural resources. Hybrid car is better than convention car for several reasons; high miles per gallon and less pollution.

Introduction

A hybrid car is the solution to a source in the world of depleting fossil fuels. Hybrid car is an environmentally friendly car that saves gas and has the lowest emissions of carbon from the car regular (Changnon, pp.34). It makes use of two or more distinct power sources to the transfer of any electric motor and gasoline-powered motor. In contrast, “fossil fuel car" means a vehicle that is powered by one of the different fuel alternatives to oil used traditionally or petroleum oil-based fuels like gasoline and diesel.

Discussion

Today humanity recognizes that nature is unchanging good, but fragile, so their conservation is a fundamental and urgent task. The pollutants affect air, water, soil, animal and plant life. As regards air pollution, the main reason for this is the burning of fossil fuels. Research in Europe that 60% of the pollution caused by man is due to the combustion of fossil fuels, and especially to pollutants such as carbon dioxide, unburned hydrocarbons and other nitrogen oxides (Changnon, pp.34). Most of the electricity produced in the world is derived from burning oil, coal and natural gas.

This process is accompanied by the emission of huge amounts of air pollution of various kinds, depending on the substance used. The gas is considered a fairly clean fuel, diesel fuel causes emissions of carbon dioxide (CO 2), sulfur dioxide (SO 2) and nitrogen oxides (NOx), but burning coal is the most serious. It is accompanied by the emission of both gases and dust. The gases that are emitted consist of SO 2, NO x, CO (carbon monoxide), CO 2 and dust containing heavy metals (lead, zinc, cadmium). The burning of fossil fuels in Europe in 1998 issued 5,670,000 in the air near thousands of tons of CO 2. Of all fossil fuels, the sulfur content in coal is higher, but varies significantly depending on coal type (Changnon, pp.34).

In some countries, the majority of electricity comes from sources other than fossil fuels, which significantly improve air quality both regionally and globally. For example, in France about 65% of electricity comes from nuclear power plants, and Norway over 90% comes from hydroelectric plants. Transportation causes much of the global atmospheric pollution, and in most developed countries exceeds that of industry. Globally, the cars release into the atmosphere each year about 300 million tons of toxic combustion gases (Easton, pp.45).

The exhaust from cars, gasoline, contain CO and NOx, hydrocarbons, SO 2 and particulate matter, while the diesel engine emits less toxic fumes (e.g., 20 times less CO, 8 times less hydrocarbons), but more soot. In Europe and America, only 10% of NOx emitted is of natural origin, the remaining 90% comes mainly from burning fossil fuels at high temperature, for example, motor cars (1200-1800 º C).
