ABSTRACT

This study strives to explore the impact of cloud computing in light of different study variables that are the part of the theoretical framework of the study. The core objective of this study will be to enlighten different characteristics of adopting cloud computing. There are several factors associated with cloud computing some of them assert advantages of adoption and some of them refer to the disadvantages. This study will highlights both perspectives of cloud computing adoption in order to facilitate the decision of adopting cloud computing in an organization. Nonetheless, this study and the findings proposed from the analysis of the primary data accumulated through different sources will propose several recommendations that can be acknowledged by the Federal Government. There are diverse variables that are the part of this study for highlighting the positive and negative aspects of cloud computing. In addition, the results of the study are carried out through primary data collection in order to validate the findings. The data accumulated from the survey method will be used in this study along with diverse literature from different researches. Nevertheless, the data will be analyzed statistically where ANOVA will be applied on the data in order to highlight the impact of the independent variables representing cloud computing on the dependent variable.

INTRODUCTION

In the past few years there has been an explosive growth in computer usage for business, government and educational purposes. At the same time, the global nature of the Internet has opened up global markets and global competition. The combination of increased computer usage, global collaboration, and competition has brought with it the accompanying need to maximize the use of available resources while minimizing costs. One area of growing interest for meeting these needs is the use of cloud computing to centralize computing and information management functions for large, often geographically dispersed organizations and individual people. Cloud computing is an approach where information technology services and capabilities are delivered to an organization or individual over the Internet by a centralized provider, often for a fee.
