The industry has gained profits and captured the market all over the world through the concept of globalisation. This paper aims to investigate the comprehensive and significant findings related to the impact of globalisation in the FMCG industry. The paper will also highlight some cases that will help to understand the concept of globalisation in the FMCG industry. The paper will investigate the contemporary concepts of market with the impact of globalisation and will highlight the benefits of globalisation in FMCG industry.

Impact of Globalisation on FMCG Industry

Introduction

The phenomenon of globalisation is not new especially in the food industry. Historically, food has been imported or exported. Nevertheless, in recent years, radical changes have occurred with the development of globalization in FMCG. The old chain supply generally not integrated, in which a product succeeded in consumer after going through a series of intermediaries and markets, belongs to past. Today, the various stages of the food supply chain and value chain are closely linked, so that the different partners (the producers to consumers) are aware of being part of a single process. Globalization is an objective process that determines the qualitative changes in the global space, increasing interconnectedness and uniqueness of individuals and civilizations as a whole.

Globalization of the economy means the transformation of the world into a single zone, where free travel information, products and services, capital, where ideas and unconstrained distributed freely move their vehicles, encouraging the development of modern institutions and mechanisms for fine-tuning their interactions.

Globalization involves the formation of a single (universal) international economic, legal, cultural and information space. In other words, the phenomenon of globalization is beyond the purely economic framework and has a significant impact on all the major areas of public life - politics, ideology and culture. It will undoubtedly play a role in the global economy of the 21st century, giving a powerful impetus to the formation of a new system of international economic and political relations (Kitching, 2001, pp. 13).
