Introduction

Information management processes in the enterprise, pass through all organizational units, operational processes, management functions at all levels of an organization. Information management consists of the various actions; such as, forming a set of activities designed to inform the company, i.e. the acquisition of information, information processing, and diffusion of information. Another action that gets perform under the notion of information management is set of activities within the planes (technological, organizational, human resources) that affect the implementation of this function. Moreover, it also focuses upon the main task of management responsible for information management is evolving continually adapt information technology (both in hardware, software, communications) to the dynamically changing needs of the organization (adapting to the challenges posed by competitors and the changing environment) (Joyce, 1999).

Information services as an essential part of the infrastructure for knowledge management, supply information, drive the generation of knowledge for finding solutions to problems faced by organizations, analyze their impact on business performance and influence the behavior of individuals with the information. The management of information got linked to the generation and implementation of strategies, policy setting and the development of an organizational culture and Social Welfare for the rational, effective and efficient information depending on the goals and objectives companies in performance and quality (Joyce, 1999).

Discussion

Cloud technology, its program and its applications are getting used most widely. Cloud technology has a very simple definition with a new trend in software, where all services got directly linked from computer to the internet. Now, we have an ease of access to the downloading of files to the computers. This software will run directly through the internet, from the service provider, erasing our hard drives (Sotomayor, Montero & Foster, 2009). The simplification of the installation and optimization of the small, portable technologies and devices (through the online service), which helps in acquiring low disk space as there will be no large amounts of files to be carried or stored, are the features of cloud technologies. The only drawback embedded in it is the provision of Internet connection and its access (Chow, et al. 2009).

The operation of cloud technology is simple as there is only need of the installation of small application of the software that the client wants to use in PC. Whenever the client wants to get connected through this technology they run the application and the server provided them the platform server for the use-age (Creeger, 2009). This also got called a client-server program, which is responsible for sending information to the server to sprint the job. Operations of cloud technology are quite similar to network terminal machine. The advantage and disadvantage to this technology is the low space utilization and mobility but only basic computer can be used for efficient performance.
