Introduction

Company in a free market economy is constantly looking for ideas which will help the company to grow their profitability and progress by increasing their profits and revenue through the maximization of sales. Most of the companies take help and support of the technology and technology oriented systems to enhance and improve their productivity. Almost all the companies today run their operations through different information systems. The implementation of the management information systems (MIS) helps an organization to reduce its costs and increase its value chain for the progress and betterment of that particular organization. In order to make the information systems totally dominant over the organizations, full charge should be given to the information systems to make the organizational operations flourish and expand the business of the organization.

However, there are many such managers of different organizations, who are not able to understand the proper implementation of the information systems in an organization. It is said that the culture of the organization and the processes of an organization are interdependent m therefore, there is no effect as such on the culture of the organization (Sutherland, 2008, p. 43). This cultural fallout could have a significant impact and lasting impact on organizational performance. The aim of this particular study will be to show the impact of the information systems and the reasons why there is considerable organizational resistance to them. Moreover, this article will focus on information systems used in business (for example, Wal-Mart) and the impact of information systems on organizational performance.

Information technology is associated with the development of technologies to be more fruitful. Information technology includes both rational and technological elements. On the other hand, the technological elements are part of the information technology environment necessary for the logical structure of the system. In other words, we can say that information technology includes both hardware and software, such as voice equipment, telecommunications, multimedia, etc. Thus, information technology is useful for inserting, extracting or processing information.
