Letter to the Insurance Company

March 19, 2012The ManagerClaims DepartmentNew Hampshire Insurance CompanyCaliforniaDear Sir,Subject: Insurance claims number 231 of 2012

This is with refernce to my insurance claim case number 231 of 2012. As already mentioned earlier, in my letter dated March 12, 2012, addressed to your office, I was going home late at night when my car skidded badly on the road due to oil spill. After losing total control, my car hit a nearby tree damaging it from the front leaving behind a broken windshield, a smashed radiator and broken head lights. The intensity of the crash was such that I am suffering with serious injuries to my chest and neck area as well as nurturing a broken arm. Immediately after the accident, I contacted my insurance agent Mr. Tom and informed him of the incident who then, according to your company policy, guided me to call the help line number of New Hampshire insurance and record with them my national identity card number, my social security number, my exact location, time of the accident and the extent of damage. After having given the details over the phone, I was allotted the claim number 231 which regretfully stands unsettled to this day. Reiterating the actual incident once again for your record, I would like to bring into your attention the auto insurance policy # 779867 of my car bearing registration number LKH 123 and to the specific terms and conditions of the comprehensive insurance coverage clause attached to it. According to this clause, the company would indemnify the insured vehicle at all times by accidental events, fire, external explosion, malicious act, earthquake, burglary, terrorism etc. Clearly the category and nature of my car accident falls under the ambit of your comprehensive insurance coverage clause, and as such I am rightfully entitled to be compensated by your company for the damages being claimed.

I was utterly shocked after having received your letter dated March 15, 2012 in which the claims department of your company have blatantly refused to settle my insurance claim and on the contrary have asked me to pay for the repairs through my pocket, in effect adding insult to injury, with no clear grounds mentioned for refusal.

While I assure you through your premium payment receipt number, 456789 that I had paid my annual premium for the vehicle well on time and the insurance policy stands valid from September 01, 2011 ...
