Introduction

Science of physical, biochemical, bioelectrical and mechanical functions of the human, its cells and its organs is known as human physiology. The most important focal point of physiology is related to organs and its systems. Physiology is intimately connected to the anatomy, which is the study of structures. Physiology is the study of functions. Human physiology is simply the study of the human body and its functions in different systems.

The maintenance of the whole internal confrontation in the body despite of changes in the external conditions is called homeostasis. By regulating the inner environment, homeostasis even out the body. It is necessary for the body to perform its roles. Homeostatic process is necessary for the continued existence of every single tissue, body system and cell. Generally, it is refers to equilibrium, stability and balance. Therefore, homeostasis is preserve within the body, reliant on its parts (Revest, P, 2009).

Discussion

The internal environment of the human body remains same in spite of changes in the external conditions. The word homeostasis is used for this steadiness. On the other hand equilibrium does not mean the constant or stable state; therefore it is not true. It takes place because of the variations in reaction to the changes in the outer environment. There are numerous example of ways in which all the systems work together. On the basis of the case study, it is determined that how physiological system can help in typical physical activities (Revest, P, 2009).

Role of Homeostasis throughout the Body in typical physical activities

Muscular system

Houdini might have a strong muscular system, which helped him in performing difficult physical movements and amazing stunts; muscular system is the most versatile system of the human body. The major function of the muscular system is to give movement. It is a system of tissues known as muscles all the way through the body. It helps human body to move. Majority of the muscles in the body are widely awake or we can say such muscles are in conscious control and these muscles move by the instructions to the muscles given by the brain through the nervous system. Some muscles are involuntary such as cardiac muscles. They move continuously without any control or without any instructions. Muscle fibers are connected to the skeletal system by tissues and tendons except the involuntary muscles. The muscles put forth power for movement by changing chemical energy into contraction and tension. Muscles are made up of number of small protein fibers that work together to create movement in the body. This movement makes us to do several actions by becoming shorter, by contacting, by relaxing and by becoming longer. The function of muscles is to pull not to push. Almost all human bodies are consisting of more than six hundred muscles. Nerves connect each muscle to the spinal cord and brain.
