It is significant to be aware of the fact that in this era of globalisation, masses from different countries carry their skills across the globe and work in a totally change environment. With many power stations approaching deadline in 10 to 15 years of time, UK will need about 15-25GW power genesis capacity by 2020. They definitely need to plan fast in order to overcome this dire power need. The new, extremely efficient, “Pembroke Station” powered by gas will hence play a pivotal role in making up the power needs of Great Britain. (Terryville & Jar man, 1981, 295)

In 2007 work started on Pembroke Power Station, on the same site where once located oil-filed powered station was demolished in 2000. The main idea behind the change was a drive to shift from oil-fired power stations to gas fired stations in order to generate eco-friendly electricity. Pembroke Power Station is a CCGT-type power generation unit which will transform natural gas into electricity. It will get its due share of gas from liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal at Milford Haven despite being directly supplied gas from a gas-field. (Andrew & Michael, 2003, 89-90)
