Introduction

Work Life balance is the achievement on the daily basis and feeling of gratification in all walks of life specifically work, friends, family, health and spirit. The term work life balance can be defined as the ability of an individual to come across their family and work commitments, moreover their non-work responsibilities and actions. Furthermore, the work life balance also includes the connection between family and work operations and it also emphasize on some other aspects of life, as well. Balance in work life has gained a lot of importance and preference for having its extensive association. This concept defined by different scholars in their own special manner (Paludi 2007, p. 135).

Balance of work life is not actually the distribution of time equally between family, work and personal requirements. It has been also focused that work life balance is particular experience that varies from an individual to individual.

In this context, work life balance can be considered as distributing the existing resources such as time, thought and labor intelligently between all phases of life. Whereas some accept the values and beliefs of working to live and looks work as purposeful and objective, while some take it as living to work and place work into the center of life.

An individual is the most important determinant of work -life balance. The two American cardiologists Friedman and Rosenman explained two types of personality depending on their individual behavior and heart a disorder which includes type A and type B. the type A refers to the person who is more active and is more work oriented, more competitive and more passionate. On the other hand, the type B refers to the person, who is more patient, calm; they are more balanced and right minded. The type a people are more work oriented, though it can have a negative reflection on their work -life balance. They have more obsessive behavior, and this is another negative factor that tends to destroy the balance of work life. Life not only relates to work, but it suffers from different problems, for example, family problems, health problems etc.

Contemporary organizations are taking initiatives to maintain social and work-life balance of employees. It requires addressing the factors such as working timings, personal life-related stress, and family related responsibilities to improve the performance of employees.

Work-Life Balance

To be successful in business, it is the right balance between work and leisure, so the work-life balance on. Anyone who works constantly and has little free time, is not satisfied in the long run. He may in his work no longer provide the required performance. At worst, the risk of burnout syndrome. Work and private life must therefore be reconciled.
