International Order

Introduction

This paper discusses some of the global transformations from the point of view of the discipline of International Order. The article examines and assesses the claim that international order is always in the process of being made, threatened and repaired. It starts considering how the principal theories in international relations stand face to the issue of globalization, and emphasizes the need for an analysis inspired by and based on Critical Theory perspective of International Political Economy (Delupis, 2009). This presents itself as the most appropriate to discuss the central issue of debate in the social sciences today: the relationship between states and markets, between economics and politics, and the tension between an increasingly internationalized economy and a political system based on the following State nation.

Scientists use the phrase international order in a variety of values, what they follow politicians and journalists. It is important to define the sense in which it will be used in this article. First of all, we note the semantic differences between the words international order and world order since the differences in the modern parlance become more significant n(Ladeck, 2007). In the field of foreign relations realists believe that there is an order established by international powers or states more powerful than impose other International Actors. The order is based on a balance of power established by the relations between the Powers. When a Power increases its sphere of power, come into friction with the other - they will not accept to see its influence diminished. Thus, the system can be brought to the imbalance, reaching up to the conflict between the powerful states, leading, in turn, into a new order imposed by the victors.

One of the most disturbing political developments of the present is the erosion of the international order. It is a gradual, rather in the background process that will bring but profound changes in international politics with it. The starting point of the crisis was the differences over the handling of the Iraq problem. These have now been expanded to a fundamental disagreement between the U.S. administration (and the majority in Congress) and most European governments about how important global multilateral institutions (especially the UN), and the role of military force in order to maintain a cooperative and liberal should have international order (Kerr, 2010).

Discussion

Several researchers consider the international order as the structure of international relations. This is typical for representatives of the realist school of international relations theory. In their opinion, it is the relationship between the structures organizes actors in world politics, forming patterns of behaviour. In this case, the main structure of the international system in the balance of power is the leading states, the hierarchy between the two. Institutionalises understand by the international order set certain institutions, which form a kind of structure of international relations, designed to provide the basic needs of states and nations to create and maintain the conditions of their existence, security and development (Delupis, ...
