Strategic management is a comprehensive process that points to the effectiveness, integrating strategic planning (more committed to efficiency) with other management systems, while all managers responsible for the strategic development and implementation. It is a continuous process of decision modeling and the performance of the organization taking into account the opportunities and threats it faces in its environment, as well as the strengths and weaknesses of the organization itself.

International strategic management is the management skills of a business that plan and then implement its strategies in the international market to compete with the domestic as well as the global competitors. The effectiveness of the plans and the decisions on how to take them is the most important role in the business that is to be taken as the success or the failure of the corporation highly depends on it. Let's consider two different cases of international companies Qantas and Global Crossing and their operations in international environments.

Qantas- the Company Profile

Qantas Airways Limited is the largest airline in Australia. The original name of QANTAS is an acronym for Queensland and Northern Territory Aerial Services and gives an indication of where to start airline operations. It is also called as "The Flying Kangaroo. The headquarters of the airline is in Sydney. It was founded in 1920 and ranked as the second largest in the list of the oldest operating airlines in the world (after KLM), and the oldest in the English speaking world. Qantas is a public company whose shares are traded on ASX.

The Queensland and Northern Territory Aerial Services (QANTAS) was established on 16 November 1920 in Winton (Queensland, today approximately 1,000 people) of the pilots Hudson Fysh and Paul McGinness established and wealthy ranchers Fergus McMaster, Ainslie Templeton and Alan Campbell.

The first two aircraft were Avro 504K plan.
