Interpersonal Skills

Task 1 (Proof Reading)

In this task I will be analysing the different Sector trends over the period of the last 7 years. The Sectors that I will be analysing are; the Primary Sector, Secondary Sector and the Tertiary Sector. The jobs within the Primary Sector consist of things such as Agriculture, hunting, forestry and fishing, Mining and quarrying. One example of this would be farming, as it is Agricultural and sometimes involves hunting.

The jobs within the Secondary Sector consist of Manufacturing, Construction and vitals such as Electricity, gas and water supply. One example of a company that is in the Secondary Sector is, Severn Trent as they supply the water at an international level. Their main headquarter is in US and they are slowly starting to provide water in Europe, Middle East and Asia.

The jobs within the Tertiary Sector are probably the most important to our everyday lives. This is because some of the jobs that are in there are; Wholesale and retail trade; repairs; hotels and restaurants, Transport, storage and communications, Real estate, renting and business activities, Public administration, national defence and compulsory social security, Education, health and social work, Other and Adjustments. One example of a company that is in the Tertiary Sector is IKEA because is a well known retail store that provides a variety of at cheap prices.

Primary Sector

As you can see from the graph, the Primary Sector had a short fall in the mining and quarrying sector between the years 1997-1998 from 2.5-2.0. After that there was a long leap in the mining and quarrying between the years 1998-2000 from 2.0-2.8, this then made up for the loss of 0.5. From the year 2000 the Primary Sector has been on at a loss. With the Agriculture, hunting, forestry and fishing sector it was worse to start with as the is a fall between the years 1997-2000 from 1.4-1.0 but then afterwards this stays at the same level having a sustainable life. These are the type of decisions that the Government would make sure are placed to ensure that both of the people are happy.

As you can see from this table it shows the same as the graph because it still tells us that the Primary Sector is in has been at a down fall since the beginning.

Secondary Sector

As you can see in the graph Manufacturing has been at a fall from the year 1997 up till 2004. It probably is still is as the fuel prices are starting to go up, this would then have an effect on the number of people that are going to buy cars. This would then mean that companies have to save money somewhere, and the first thing that they resort to is closing down factories as they cost the most money. By closing down the money they save more money and ensure that they are still achieving profit maximization. A true example of this happening would be the company Jaguar.
