Introduction

The 1960's led to a new generation of Muslims in America. In 1963, a Muslim student life in America, found expression in the establishment of the Muslim Students Association of the USA and Canada (MSA) at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. The MSA have developed chapters in campuses coast to coast, reflecting its motto to strengthen the unity and cohesion. Growth in the chapters contributed to the increase in the number of Muslim students from many countries, seeking higher education in the United States
