Israel the Holy Land

Many Christians dream of visiting the Holy Land of Israel. As much of the Christian faith is built around the land of Israel, it is truly the vacation of a lifetime to be able to go on a tour of Israel. People will save their money for years in order to be able to go on such a tour. A trip to the Holy Land of Israel allows people to visit all of the places mentioned in the Bible. Of course, there are many things to consider on such a trip, but it's certainly worth looking into. If you can consult with someone who specializes in such tours of Israel, you will be able to get more information. Many people are surprises to learn that the tours are reasonably priced and quite practical for anyone. (Wenham, 1994)

Of course, there are many things that must be taken care of... It will take a few weeks to plan and prepare for such a trip. If you go to Israel in the springtime, the weather will be mild, not too hot or cold. The flowers would be blooming and the hills would be turning a beautiful shade of green. Packing for this season is especially easy and one can look forward to the nice weather. (Abadi, 2004)

You will likely do a lot of walking on your tour, so it's a good idea to get into good physical condition before going. You can begin exercising regularly by walking and biking to help build up your strength and avoid being sore on the trip. Since hiking and walking is such an important part of a tour of the Holy Land, you should to be prepared. This is an aspect of the trip that many people don't realize until it's too late. Another thing that you may want to consider is the dress of the Jewish culture. While dress is casual, you will want to bring along some better clothes if you plan to visit the Jewish holy places. They will not permit you to enter some of these places without proper attire. One way to help avoid problems is to bring a large shawl that you can use to cover your arms or legs if necessary. Most importantly, always remember to be respectful to the customs of Israel. (Joseph, 2009)
