The Kroger Co. is an American retail supermarket string of connections and parent company, founded by Bernard Henry Kroger in 1883 in Cincinnati, Ohio. It described US$76 billion in sales throughout fiscal year 2008. It is the country's biggest grocery shop chain and its second-largest grocery retailer by capacity [2] and second-place general retailer in the homeland, with Wal-Mart being the biggest [3].
